Andrea has undertaken various leadership roles including Assistant Principal, Early Years Literacy Coordinator, Numeracy Coordinator and whole school Curriculum Leader. Andrea has led her school to effectively implement the Victorian Essential Learning Standards and the Principles of Learning and Teaching. As a trained peer coach Andrea has supported and coached individuals and teams to achieve continuous improvement in their daily learning and teaching programs.

Andrea was a member of the Early Years Numeracy Team of the Department of Education and Training, Victoria. She developed and implemented strategies, professional development and support materials for schools in implementing numeracy programs. Andrea coordinated the state wide Early Years Numeracy Professional Development Project.

Andrea has published five practical teacher references which focus on exemplary teaching practice in numeracy and Inquiry Learning.
